Course Description and Goals
   

Prerequisites: permission of the instructor. Sources, characteristics, generation rates, conditioning unit operations and disposal options for residuals resulting from water and waste water treatment systems; emphasis on reuse/recycling concepts, federal regulations, economic assessment.

To provide students a knowledge base to aid in the selection and design of systems for handling, conditioning, treating, and disposal of water and wastewater treatment plant residuals.
