What are the computer hardware, software, and system access requirements?


To take a class via Video Streaming you must have a computer with at least the following hardware:

 

  • Pentium II 300MHz processor 128MB of RAM
  • Cable modem, DSL modem , or LAN connection
  • The software requirements include:
    • Netscape (4.61 or higher) or MS Explorer (5.0 or higher ) as the web browser
    • RealPlayer G2 or higher
    • Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher and PDF file maker.
    • MS EXCEL
    • MS POWERPOINT

Internet access must be from a broadband provider (Cable, DSL, or satellite). To check for the quality of the video streaming at your site, try the Sample Video Stream. If slow, poor quality, or stopped during this test, you may need to access from a different Broadband provider and/or upgrade your hardware and software system.
